We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Duties
- The financial management includes two separate, yet monthly combined entities.
- Manage complete bookkeeping functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Maintain and update financial records using various software systems such as QuickBooks, our reservation system, Excel, Word, etc.
- Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and internal audit requirements by documenting processes and maintaining accurate records.
- Perform month-end closing activities, including financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
- Reconcile complex accounts such as payroll liabilities, tax obligations, and intercompany transactions with precision.
- Handle confidential information responsibly while providing excellent customer service to internal teams, owners and external vendors.
Requirements
- Proven experience in full charge bookkeeping or accounting roles within a corporate setting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting concepts.
- Proficiency with our financial software, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.
- Demonstrated ability in data entry accuracy, spreadsheet management (Excel data analysis), and account reconciliation techniques.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance procedures and internal control documentation.
- Excellent numeracy skills combined with strong attention to detail for journal entries and account analysis.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to support internal teams, owners and guests.
