Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Injection Molding Set Up Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for preparing and setting up injection molding machines to ensure efficient production runs of high-quality plastic components. Your expertise will help optimize machine performance, maintain safety standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties

• Set up and calibrate injection molding machines, ensuring proper operation before production begins
• Perform quality inspections on molded parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify specifications
• Handle materials safely and efficiently using forklifts and materials handling equipment to load raw materials and remove finished products
• Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
• Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity
• Document setup procedures, machine parameters, and quality results accurately for traceability and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Proven experience with plastics injection molding processes and equipment setup in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and use precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers effectively
• Familiarity with quality inspection standards and procedures for plastic parts
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, fabrication techniques, materials handling equipment such as forklifts, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles to support continuous process improvements
• Warehouse experience or familiarity with manufacturing logistics is a plus
• Valid certification or training in plastics injection molding or related fields is preferred

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
