Job Title: Dispatch Manager (Multiple Openings) – Flatbed & Reefer Operations
Location: Schaumburg, IL
Pay: $85,000 – $105,000/year Bonus Opportunities
A growing freight and logistics company based in Schaumburg, IL is seeking experienced Dispatch Managers to oversee Flatbed and Reefer operations. This is a full-time, in-office leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment and has a strong background managing drivers, freight operations, and customer relationships.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on dispatch experience, strong operational leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage time-sensitive freight while maintaining excellent service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily Flatbed and Reefer dispatch operations
- Schedule and oversee timely pickups and deliveries
- Communicate effectively with drivers, brokers, and customers
- Monitor load status and resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently
- Ensure proper cargo securement and compliance for Flatbed loads
- Support driver performance, routing, and operational planning
- Maintain strong customer service and professional communication
- Assist with load planning, problem resolution, and daily dispatch support
- Work collaboratively with operations and leadership teams to ensure smooth freight movement
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Flatbed and/or Reefer dispatch operations required
- Strong knowledge of OTR trucking operations and freight coordination
- Experience with cargo securement and Flatbed freight preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and make quick operational decisions under pressure
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
