This individual will be responsible for safely operating a cherry picker/order picker forklift to retrieve, move, and organize inventory at various heights. Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Starting at $20.75/hour, paid weekly
- Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
- Full Time Schedule, Overtime Availability
- Located in Islandia, NY
Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate a cherry picker/order picker forklift to pick and transport inventory
- Retrieve products from elevated warehouse storage locations
- Accurately pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment
- Verify product numbers, quantities, and locations before picking
- Safely load and unload pallets and materials
- Put away incoming inventory and maintain organized storage locations
- Use RF scanners, handheld devices, or warehouse management systems as required
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues
- Follow all OSHA, company, and warehouse safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts when needed
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other warehouse employees
- Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Previous cherry picker/order picker forklift experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment
- Forklift certification or willingness to become certified according to company requirements
- Ability to read labels, pick tickets, and product information
- Basic math and counting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required
- Ability to safely work at elevated heights while operating a cherry picker
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, climb, and maneuver in warehouse aisles
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required
- Overtime opportunities may be available
- Training and forklift certification provided as applicable
