We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Glazier / Glass Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in a variety of settings, including commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Duties
- Measure, cut, and fabricate glass using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute glass installation projects.
- Install glass panels in windows, doors, facades, partitions, and custom fixtures with precision and care.
- Perform caulking, sealing, and finishing work to ensure airtight and watertight installations.
- Handle heavy lifting safely when transporting and positioning large glass units or framing materials.
- Use metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and cabinetry skills for supporting structures or custom fixtures.
- Conduct remodeling tasks such as door hanging, fixture installation, and metal framing to support various project needs.
Experience
- Prior construction site experience with a focus on glass installation or related trades such as carpentry or remodeling.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes for material needs and project planning.
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., chisels, screwdrivers), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols including heavy lifting techniques and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Experience with fixture installation, cabinet mounting, metal stud framing, drywall finishing, or painting is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on-site while maintaining high-quality standards.
