Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and Straight Truck while ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, automatic transmission operation, and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks equipped with automatic transmissions and possibly a refrigerated trailers.
• Execute route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance (Samsara).
• Possibly have to load and unload cargo using forklifts or pallet jacks only when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding any delays or issues encountered during transport.
• Must be able to cross the Canadian border
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Must possess a valid enhance driver license to cross the border and enter into Canada.
• Must be 23 years of age.
• Experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers and Straight trucks.
• Ability to navigate routes effectively and efficiently.
• Previous experience operating refrigerated trailers is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Ability to lift heavy loads as required during loading and unloading processes.
