Job description:
We are an electrical contracting corporation based on Staten Island, NY that is looking for a Project Manager to help oversee the completion of electrical projects ranging in size between roughly $50k to $2.5M . Projects are primarily in Manhattan or immediate surrounding areas. Your time will mostly be spent in the field, however you will be expected to report to the office as required (no more than 1-2 times per week).
The Project Manager is the day-to-day leader responsible for the overall coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of a specific project. They manage both the administrative and operational sides of the project. PMs are expected to manage the project’s financial health (budgeting, forecasting, billing, cost tracking), maintain the project schedule in coordination with the Superintendent, oversee procurement of vendor packages, lead coordination with the client, track progress and change orders, ensure contract compliance, and work closely with the Superintendent to balance field progress with project logistics.
Responsibilities will include:
- Keeping the project on budget
- Submittals
- Vendor/Subcontractor buy-outs, purchase orders and coordination
- Tracking/Following up on change order approvals
- RFIs
- Attending project meetings
- Project closeout documents
- Verbal and email communications with clients
- Tracking job hours
Ideal candidate qualities:
- Previous experience with electrical project management.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Computer savvy - proficient in Microsoft Office and other applicable software.
- Highly organized
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and working on-the-go
- Exceptional time-management skills
- Basic (or better) understanding of electrical equipment and systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Team player with a growth mindset
- Extremely detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to reliably to commute to Manhattan job sites and our office on Staten Island.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
