What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Estimator position at Accurate Electrical Contractors Corp.?
We are a Local 363 USWU shop that is growing quickly and looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to prepare bids. This is a full-time, in-office position with the ideal candidate being self-driven, communicative, thorough, organized, responsible and someone who will take great pride in their work and our company. We treat our business like a family and are looking to add another member to our close-knit team.
Responsibilities
- Understand the project and requirements detailed in the bid documents.
- Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times etc.
- Obtain and review offers and quotes by vendors or subcontractors.
- Assemble estimates and create and submit proposals to clients.
- Build relationships with clients to sell our services and receive feedback on bid proposals.
- Build relationships with key vendors (supply houses, subcontractors, etc.).
- Provide consultation during project kickoff meetings to aid planning and coordination of new projects.
- Run through the bid board directly with ownership to discuss bidding strategies and prioritize new bid requests.
Skills
- Experience as an electrical estimator.
- Knowledge of estimation formulas and data analysis methods.
- Proficient in EBM Vision (or a comparable estimating software).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Thorough, reliable, highly organized, and able to multi-task.

Pay: $90,000 - $125,000 per year
