You will coordinate between customers and our skilled technicians, accurately assess vehicle needs, and promote additional services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership profitability. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Explain repair procedures, estimates, and recommended services clearly and transparently
- Write detailed service orders, ensuring accuracy in describing vehicle issues and required repairs
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and communicate updates to customers
- Upsell additional maintenance or repair services based on vehicle diagnostics and customer needs
- Manage cash handling, invoicing, and auto estimating processes efficiently
- Maintain thorough records of service history, customer interactions, and repair details
- Assist with automotive diagnostics by listening to customer concerns and going for rides at times with customers to identify issues related to transmissions, brakes, suspensions, oil changes, tire service, diesel engines, shocks & struts, alignments, and other automotive systems
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or independent experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a similar auto service management role
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repairs including transmissions, brake repair, suspension work, oil changes, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, alignments, auto body repair, and air brake systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and trust with customers
- Experience with auto estimating software and service writing processes. We use tekmetics.
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures.
- Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on building long-term customer relationships
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
