Senior Tax & Audit Accountant
Accurant LLC is a progressive, expanding, full-service accounting and tax firm with multiple locations throughout the Midwest. We’re looking for an experienced senior-level tax & audit accountant to work out of our Austin, MN location. Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a similar field required
· CPA license or Enrolled Agent certification preferred
· At least five years of extensive tax prep experience (individual, corporate and partnership tax) in a CPA firm setting
· At least five years of leading audits (non-profit and government) in a CPA firm setting
· Must live in close proximity to the office in order to meet with clients in-person
· Strong knowledge of tax law, regulatory compliance accounting, and financial reporting standards
· Desire to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong communication & interpersonal skills, displaying the ability to connect & build relationships with clients, firm leadership and peers
· Confidence in professional aptitude & the ability to effectively convey skills, knowledge and qualifications to clients
· Experience with Lacerte, TaxDome, QuickBooks & Microsoft Office a plus
Responsibilities:
· Lead audits for non-profit, for-profit, and governmental organizations
· Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, non-profits and businesses
· Create and discuss tax planning scenarios with clients
· Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues
· Make final adjusting entries for business clients prior to preparing tax returns
· Review the work of less experienced staff
· Collaborate with clients to communicate tax strategies effectively, addressing inquiries related to tax reporting, tax law changes, and financial analysis

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
