Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of senior scientific staff, propose, design, and execute experimental studies to advance new molecular assay technologies
- Analyze and interpret experimental data with strong scientific rigor and critical thinking
- Prepare and present research findings to management and the broader R&D organization
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional R&D teams to support project execution and development timelines
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and compliant experimental documentation through high-quality laboratory notebooks and data records
- Manage multiple priorities with flexibility to meet time-sensitive project milestones and organizational objectives
- Stay current with scientific literature, emerging technologies, and advances in the field
- Contribute to intellectual property development, including invention disclosures and patent filings
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or a related field with 1-2 years of post-doctoral or industry experience, or M.S. in Molecular Biology or a related field with 7 years of relevant industry experience
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of independently driving projects forward
- Solid foundation and broad knowledge in molecular biology and genomics
- Hands-on experience with next-generation sequencing technologies, with a strong preference for epigenetics-based assays or analyses
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment
