This role sits within an integrated marketing structure that works closely with store leadership and cross-functional partners to bring both centrally driven and locally relevant activations to life.
Objective of the Role
The Senior Manager of Special Events will lead the planning and execution of high-impact events across a regional store network, with a particular focus on the South Florida market. This individual will be responsible for translating broader marketing priorities into compelling local activations that drive customer acquisition, retention, and sales performance. The role requires a strong understanding of luxury clientele, clienteling, community partnerships, and event ROI, as well as the ability to operate effectively in a highly visible, multi-stakeholder environment.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate brings experience in luxury retail, premium consumer brands, or selected luxury hospitality environments, with a clear ability to create elevated customer experiences and execute events that support business objectives. A background in multi-location or regional event management will be particularly valuable, as this role requires balancing multiple priorities across several stores and markets.
This person should combine creativity with strong commercial judgment, and be comfortable working closely with senior store leaders, marketing partners, and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be highly organized, polished, resourceful, and credible in front of both internal and external audiences. Previous experience managing direct reports, navigating a fast-paced operating environment, and influencing cross-functional teams is important. Exposure to organizations such as Saks, Neiman Marcus, luxury brands with regional event responsibilities, or high-end hospitality groups would be relevant.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of local and in-store events that support integrated marketing campaigns and regional business priorities
- Partner with store leadership and cross-functional teams to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, loyalty, and market share
- Develop localized event strategies that align with broader corporate direction while reflecting the needs of the local customer base
- Manage event budgets, track performance, and assess return on investment for activations and partnerships
- Identify and secure sponsorships, co-branding opportunities, and community relationships that enhance event impact and commercial relevance
- Support top-client engagement and experiential initiatives designed to strengthen retention of high-value customers
- Represent the organization externally at events, partnerships, and community-facing opportunities in a professional and brand-aligned manner
- Provide leadership to direct reports and coordinate effectively across multiple stores and stakeholders in a regional structure
- Work closely with regional leadership to ensure events support financial goals, customer experience objectives, and store-specific opportunities
Requirements
- Proven experience in special events, experiential marketing, integrated marketing, or related functions within luxury retail, premium brands, or relevant hospitality environments
- Strong understanding of affluent customers, clienteling, and customer experience standards
- Experience operating in a multi-unit, regional, or otherwise complex operating structure
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver against timelines and budgets
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Prior people management experience preferred
- Comfortable with regular travel across the region, approximately 30% to 40%
- Ability to work on a hybrid basis, with a strong in-person presence in the Aventura market when not traveling
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience
