What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing & PLM Planning Specialist position at Acculon Energy?
Acculon Energy is seeking a Manufacturing & PLM Planning Specialist to
serve as a critical bridge between Manufacturing Operations and Design Engineering. This role is responsible for establishing and governing the "digital thread"—the foundational data backbone—while simultaneously ensuring those structures successfully drive our production schedules for advanced battery modules and battery packs.
This unique position combines Master Data Governance with
Core Production Planning, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM),
Engineering Change Control (ECR/ECO) into a single, high-impact role. You will
ensure that what engineering designs is flawlessly translated into accurate, buildable operational plans.
Key Focus Areas
Manufacturing Planning & Operations: Leverage our ERP/MRP ecosystem
(Odoo) to translate released PLM data into actionable manufacturing
orders, accurate routings, and master production schedules. You will
ensure that inventory targets, supplier lead times, and capacity
constraints align with the engineering roadmap.
PLM & Engineering Data Control: Serve as the primary business owner
and super-user for the PLM ecosystem. You will govern the data
architecture, enforce strict data discipline, and manage the seamless
translation of Engineering Bills of Materials (eBOMs) into
Manufacturing Bills of Materials (mBOMs) with accurate part attributes
and revision histories.
Engineering Change Management: Coordinate and accelerate the
Engineering Change Order (ECO) process across departments, ensuring
that design updates, component substitutions, and quality improvements
are cleanly integrated into production without disrupting the line.
Who You Are
This position is ideal for a highly analytical systems expert who thrives at the intersection of product design and factory-floor execution. You enjoy enterprise systems, data management, and process
improvement, and you want to play a foundational role in building a world-class battery manufacturing organization.

(MOs) and work orders based on material availability and operational
capacity.
Performance Tracking: Monitor schedule adherence, track manufacturing
performance metrics, and participate in daily operational and
production planning reviews.
Inventory Alignment: Support inventory planning activities, material
availability tracking, and cycle counting initiatives to ensure high
inventory accuracy.
3. Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) & Configuration Control
System Ownership: Own and maintain product structures and digital data
architecture within the Odoo PLM ecosystem.
BOM Governance: Audit, structure, and manage Engineering and
Manufacturing Bills of Materials (eBOMs/mBOMs) to ensure a seamless
data transition from design to production.
Configuration Management: Manage the system configuration files and
part data for advanced battery modules, battery packs, battery
management systems (BMS), and related sub-assemblies.
Revision Control: Ensure all system data, part numbers, and
engineering data attachments remain strictly revision-controlled and
aligned with final engineering releases.
NPI Data Rollout: Coordinate the digital release and precise system
rollout of New Product Introductions (NPI) and engineering revisions
into the live production environment.
4. Engineering Change & Cross-Functional Coordination
ECO Ownership: Serve as the primary administrative coordinator for
Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Notices
(ECNs), driving changes through the digital approval workflow.
Data Liaison: Act as the central data bridge between Design
Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure engineering
releases are accurately reflected in production systems.
Effectivity & Cut-In Planning: Coordinate with Supply Chain and
Production to determine exact effective dates and inventory cut-ins
for engineering changes, minimizing scrap and material obsolescence.
Change Communication: Notify procurement and manufacturing teams of
upcoming component changes, substitutions, and end-of-life (EOL) parts
to ensure system readiness.
