What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Architect position at Accuity?
The Data Architect will lead the development of the Azure based data repository (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) and future data lake that support the company’s services and analytics functions.?In this role you will be interfacing with our application developers, data analysts, and business users. This position requires a self-starter that is used to working in challenging yet exciting high growth environments with little supervision. Experience with HITRUST, SOC 2, healthcare PHI, HIPPAA, a huge plus.
The Data Architect will lead the initiatives to reinvent the data repositories that support our SaaS applications, ETL processes, reporting engine, and future machine learning efforts. This position will require periodic data cleansing activities so experience using Fuzzy logic / Fuzzy grouping would be beneficial. This position requires an expert level of knowledge in the Azure SQL Stack: specifically, SSIS ETL packages, query optimization, database design, and reporting solutions. A passion for data and analytics is a huge plus since you will also support various business intelligence initiatives. The tools/software provided will include various front and backend technologies (MS SQL Server, SSIS, Tableau, etc.)
Requirements:
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Engineering, Mathematics preferred
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, at least 3 years Azure based experience
- A minimum of 10 years experience in database architecture and administration across any platform
- Experience with the SSAS stack & building data warehouses is preferred
- Experience in Healthcare is a plus
- Experience with Tableau / Power BI a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Including a proactive disposition towards identifying problems and providing solutions
- Thorough understanding of database performance analysis and optimization
- Experience designing and developing database objects, tables, stored procedures, views, and SSIS packages
- Expert SSRS Report building skills
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server high availability technologies (i.e. always on high availability groups, replication, etc.)
- Experience managing SQL Server instances in the Azure environment
- Ability to use a PC in a Windows environment, including MS Word
- Independent, focused individual able to work remotely or onsite
