What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Accessioner / Night shift position at Accu Reference Medical Lab?
Accu Reference Medical Lab is looking to hire a Laboratory Specimen Accessioner.
NIGHT SHIFT 10 PM to 6:30 AM - Monday to Friday.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Process via data entry and accession multiple types of specimens and testing orders for laboratory analysis
-Perform specimen or reception check, and records information into LIS-Z
-Cleans work area and surrounding laboratory after completion of work day
-Requisition Review and restock department daily
-Handle hazardous waste in accordance to preset policies, protocols and regulatory standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Previous experience in a similar setting
-Must have excellent data entry skills
-Understanding of laboratory quality control and assurances a plus
-Knowledge of general laboratory safety issues and universal precautions a plus
Job Type: Full-time
