- Based in Charlotte, NC
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office per week
- Oversee all benefits administration including open enrollment, employee communications on benefits options, and coordination of plan alternatives as the organization shifts to employee cost-sharing
- Manage compensation programs including seasonal cycles (December merit reviews for hourly employees, March salary reviews and annual incentives for salaried staff)
- Lead leave of absence administration covering company policy, FMLA, and workers compensation matters end-to-end
- Partner with finance and treasury departments on pension funding levels, 401(k) management, and budget planning for total rewards
- Administer complex executive benefits including non-qualified deferred compensation plans and deferred compensation education for leadership
- Facilitate vendor management and implementation projects, including potential health carrier transitions and benefits system enhancements
- Deliver presentations and provide guidance to employees and executives on compensation and benefits topics, requiring strong communication and presentation skills
- Supervise two direct reports: a leave specialist and a total rewards analyst, providing direction and oversight on their work
- 5 years of benefits administration experience with demonstrated expertise in employee benefits programs, enrollment processes, and compliance
- Non-qualified deferred compensation plan experience or strong willingness to learn executive compensation arrangements
- Advanced Excel proficiency and data analytics skills for compensation and benefits analysis
- Experience with benefits administration systems and vendor management (ADP, HRIS platforms, or similar)
- Leadership experience managing and developing direct reports within HR or benefits functions
- Strong presentation and communication skills with ability to explain complex benefits concepts to diverse audiences
- Process-oriented approach with meticulous attention to detail in benefits administration, payroll coordination, and leave of absence management
