The Senior Accountant – International will support a mid-sized manufacturing organization with full-cycle accounting across global operations. This role requires strong expertise in manufacturing accounting—including standard costing, inventory accounting, and COGS analysis—along with solid technical knowledge of both IFRS and US GAAP. The ideal candidate will effectively support international reporting, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration, specifically with our Southeast Asia businesses.

The ideal candidate will effectively support international reporting, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration, specifically with our Southeast Asia businesses.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide monthly and annual financial reporting oversight for API Asia entities, including financial statement reviews, variance analysis, and transaction / issue follow-up as needed.
- Analyze and review financial statements to ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP.
- Support consolidation, intercompany reconciliations, and global reporting.
- Partner with local management of our Southeast Asia businesses to understand commercial transactions and cost drivers to facilitate the active management of the P&L, with an emphasis on mitigation plan development as the need arises.
- Assist with statutory reporting requirements and external/internal audit support.
- Monitor and implement updates to IFRS and GAAP standards relevant to manufacturing operations.
- Improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
- Assist in the preparation of internal analytical reports to assess product profitability for exports from our Southeast Asia businesses.
Required
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA is a plus.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with required experience in manufacturing accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
- Fluency in Vietnamese is required
- Experience working with international subsidiaries, ideally in Southeast Asia.
- Proficiency with ERP systems used in manufacturing environments; BC365 is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with global teams.
- CPA or equivalent credential.
- Fluency in Thai.
- Prior experience in mid-sized or multi-plant manufacturing organizations.
- Understanding of supply chain, manufacturing processes, and plant operations.
- Experience with complex cost structures and multi-entity environments.
