At Accounting Resources, Inc. (ARI), our clients rely on us as an extension of their teams, providing practical HR support ranging from day-to-day employee matters to strategic workforce initiatives. Our HR practice is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager who wants to make an impact with clients, develop people, and contribute to the continued growth of our practice.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an HR professional who enjoys variety, solving problems, building relationships, and turning HR expertise into practical business solutions.

You will advise small and midsized organizations across a broad range of HR matters while providing leadership and guidance to members of ARI's HR team. You will also have the opportunity to shape how we work, improve our services, and contribute to the future direction of ARI's HR practice.

What You'll Do

Be a Trusted Advisor to Our Clients

  • Build strong client relationships and serve as a resource on complex and evolving HR matters.
  • Advise clients on employee relations, recruiting, benefits, performance management, policies and procedures, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Translate employment requirements and HR best practices into practical solutions that work for each client's organization.
  • Analyze HR information and data to identify issues, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
  • Coach and train client leaders on a variety of HR topics.

Lead and Develop People

  • Provide leadership, coaching, training, and day-to-day guidance to ARI HR team members.
  • Serve as an escalation resource on challenging client and employee matters.
  • Help team members strengthen their technical HR expertise, judgment, client-service skills, and overall professional capabilities.
  • Provide hands-on support when client needs or team capacity require it.

Deliver Great Client Work

  • Oversee strategic and project-based client engagements with a focus on responsiveness, quality, timing, and budget.
  • Balance multiple clients and priorities while maintaining strong communication and follow-through.
  • Develop practical policies, processes, programs, and solutions that address clients' specific business and workforce needs.

Help Us Build an Even Stronger HR Practice

  • Lead and contribute to internal ARI HR initiatives and projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the systems, processes, tools, and approaches we use to serve our clients.
  • Stay current on evolving employment laws and HR practices and help translate changes into effective guidance for both our team and our clients.
  • Provide input to ARI leadership on the continued development and strategic direction of the HR practice.

Contribute to Our Growth

  • Identify opportunities to expand our relationships with existing clients through additional HR services and projects.
  • Build relationships within the business community and help introduce prospective clients to ARI.
  • Represent ARI through networking, firm events, and other business-development activities.

What Success Looks Like

  • Build relationships that position ARI as a trusted HR partner to our clients.
  • Approach complex HR challenges with sound judgment, professionalism, and practical solutions.
  • Develop and coach team members so they continue to grow professionally.
  • Deliver client engagements with strong communication, quality, and financial discipline.
  • Look beyond the immediate assignment to identify ways ARI can create additional value for clients.
  • Bring forward ideas that improve our HR practice and how we work.

What You Bring

We're looking for an experienced HR professional who combines technical knowledge with strong business judgment and the ability to build relationships.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 7 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and employee relations.
  • Experience advising leaders and resolving complex HR matters.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms and other HR technologies.
  • The ability to manage multiple clients, projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • An interest in building client relationships and contributing to business development.

Especially valuable: Experience in an HR consulting, professional services, or multi-client environment.

Why ARI?

Instead of supporting just one organization, you'll work across a variety of clients, industries, challenges, and business situations. You'll combine hands-on HR work with consulting, leadership, problem-solving, and relationship management.

Just as importantly, you'll be joining an environment that values flexibility and continued professional growth.
