We are seeking a detail-oriented Contract Accounting Specialist to support short-term cleanup and reconciliation efforts within a logistics/manufacturing environment. This role is heavily focused on AP/AR cleanup, investigating discrepancies, resolving billing issues, and supporting accurate rebilling efforts. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with hands-on SAP experience and the ability to work efficiently with minimal training.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform AP/AR cleanup, including researching and correcting outstanding items.
- Conduct reconciliations and investigate discrepancies in billing, invoices, and payments.
- Review and resolve billing claims—both internal and external—to ensure accuracy and timely correction.
- Generate and analyze reports to identify discrepancies, aging issues, and items requiring escalation.
- Work with Bills of Lading, open invoices, and other shipping/manufacturing documentation.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate rebilling.
- Navigate SAP (required) and AS400 (preferred) to research, validate, and correct billing details.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- SAP experience required
- Experience in logistics or manufacturing billing strongly preferred.
- Background in AP/AR, billing reconciliation, or financial operations.
- Experience with Bills of Lading, invoicing, and billing documentation.
