Experienced Staff Accountant
In this role, you will use your technical accounting skills, proficiency in tax preparation to produce high-quality and accurate client deliverables. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate a thorough understanding of accounting principles.
UltraTax CS experience is requiredKey Responsibilities
Prepare tax returns for Individuals, S and C Corporations, and other entities.Prepare amended returns.Prepare tax projections.Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and timely filing of returns.Conduct tax research and planning to optimize tax strategies for clients.Prepare annual accounting.Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.Utilize accounting software and technology to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.Stay updated with the latest advancements in accounting technology and recommend appropriate tools for the firm.Qualifications & Desired Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA or EA designation; preferred but not requiredQuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop experience requiredUltraTax CS experience requiredSurePrep experience or knowledge is preferred but not requiredAbility to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and budgets; willingness and ability to work extra hours if necessary during tax seasonProficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows operating systemsEnergized professional - seeking greater responsibilities and autonomy with clientsHave the passion and curiosity to look through the financials of the business, to identify potential opportunities for clientsEngaging and thrive on building relationships internally and externallyClient first mentalityPositive, team-oriented mindset
