What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax And Compliance Manager position at Accounting & Business Partners, LLC?
Company Description
Accounting & Business Partners is an established, women-owned, remote, tech-savvy accounting firm with 11 years in business. We support clients across tax, compliance, accounting, payroll, entity work, notices, and advisory support.
We are building smarter systems, clearer ownership, stronger workflows, and a firm designed to scale with consistency.
Our senior team knows how to work, our client base is active and established, and our owner/CPA has directly carried the tax and compliance function. We are now ready for the right leader to step into this critical seat.
Role Description
This is a full-time remote position for a Tax & Compliance Manager.
This is not a standard tax role. It is a high-trust leadership seat for a CPA, or someone close to obtaining their CPA, with 3–5 years of CPA firm experience.
The Tax & Compliance Manager leads the firm’s tax and compliance function from start to finish. This includes tax return production, federal and state notices, entity compliance, audits, filing deadlines, extensions, estimates, light client communication, workflow visibility, and penalty-risk management.
This role is responsible for keeping tax and compliance work accurate, visible, moving, and handled on time. The right person can think critically, make sound decisions, escalate risks early, protect clients and the firm, and lead with accuracy, accountability, and sound judgment.
If it has a deadline, filing requirement, compliance exposure, or penalty risk, this role helps ensure it is handled properly and on time.
