Controller

Accountants One is working with a repeat client to help them hire a Controller. This is an excellent chance to work for a private equity-owned company that is growing through acquisition. This role will receive excellent training and mentoring from an accomplished CFO and executive team. This role requires someone interested in learning and advancing in a small, but very professional and fun work environment.

Job Duties:

• Manage a small accounting department in the day-to-day accounting functions for multiple locations of a fast-growing franchisee owner.
• Perform month-end close and produce financial statements for assigned locations
• Manage and assist with monthly variance analysis
• Manage and assist with bank reconciliations and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Act as lead with annual audits and special audits
• Supervise and assist in the processing of payroll and appropriate payroll journal entries
• Special projects as assigned by CFO

Job Requirements:

• Accounting or Finance degree
• Advanced systems experience required
• NetSuite experience highly preferred
• Sincere interest in a hands-on Controller role with a chance to make an impact on the organization
• Seven or more years of experience, CPA firm or industry experience accepted
• Two or more years of management experience
• "Athlete's mind set" preferred, someone focused on personal and professional growth
• Willingness to work in the details while also assisting with strategic plans
• Five days in office, by The Battery
