Pay: $50-$55/hr (BOE) No per diem available
Schedule: 40-50 hrs/week

Position Overview:
Accountable Safety Solutions is eager to fill an immediate need for a Safety Manager to join our team to support a commercial electrical contractor in the Orlando, Fl area. You will be required to oversee, maintain, and enhance the safety performance of tradesmen on site. You will develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures, conduct inspections, and provide training to ensure compliance. The role requires you to perform daily site walks, LOTO audits, contractor safety oversight, field presence, coaching, and engagement to foster a proactive safety culture. The role requires a true safety professional to be actively engaged with project leadership and the workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example and with integrity. Professionalism is critical.
- Conduct and lead site-specific safety orientations as needed.
- Ensure contractors adhere to project-specific rules and EHS requirements.
- Collaborate with Project Leadership to coordinate safety activities and high-risk work.
- Review and approve contractor Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
- Evaluate and approve high-risk work permits (e.g., Hot Work, Confined Space, LOTO.
- Enforce compliance with Site-Specific Safety Plan (training, inspections, and documentation).
- Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to eliminate or mitigate risks.
- Educate and coach project teams and contractors on safety guidelines and policies.
- Conduct regular job site inspections and document findings.
- Perform weekly safety audits and share findings with project leadership.
- Identify known or potential exposures and recommend corrective actions.
- Administer safety incentive programs.
- Investigate incidents, document findings, and complete detailed reports.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years in construction safety with commercial and electrical exposure.
- OSHA 500 strongly preferred; OSHA 30 required.
- BCSP Certifications (CHST, SMP, ASP, CSP) strongly preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certified.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS standards.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent judgment and ethics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and use of safety-related software
- In-depth understanding of construction safety practices and industry standards.
- Ability to communicate and influence supervisors, peers, and external partners.
