Job Description
- Supervise and support Security Officers during assigned shifts to ensure effective daily security operations
- Conduct regular patrols of guest areas, public spaces, back-of-house areas, parking facilities, and hotel perimeter
- Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, disturbances, accidents, medical incidents, and security concerns
- Assist with investigations involving safety incidents, guest concerns, policy violations, or suspicious activity
- Prepare and review incident reports, daily activity logs, and required documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Monitor surveillance systems, fire/life safety systems, access control systems, and alarm systems as assigned
- Assist with coordinating emergency response procedures and evacuation protocols
- Support hotel leadership during emergency situations and operational incidents
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training support to Security Officers and team members
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, departmental procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
- Promote positive guest and employee interactions while maintaining a professional security presence
- Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and departmental communication as assigned
- Support VIP arrivals, special events, and high-profile guest activities as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive situations and information
- Participate in departmental meetings, training programs, and safety drills
Qualifications
- Previous security, law enforcement, military, hospitality security, or related experience required
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Luxury hotel or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented during stressful or emergency situations
- Strong observation, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Ability to prepare accurate reports and documentation
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with security systems preferred
- Professional appearance and demeanor required
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as operationally required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must meet all applicable Louisiana licensing or certification requirements for security personnel, if required for the position
