JOB OVERVIEW:

Under the general guidance of the F&B Manager, the Server assist in ensuring friendly, efficient and effective service of food and beverages to all guests in a timely fashion in accordance with standards and individual guest requirements, at all times respecting the company’s Core Values. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable. • Present menus and inform guests about daily specials, assisting them in making informed dining choices. • Take accurate food and beverage orders, noting any special requests or dietary restrictions. • Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff efficiently to ensure timely preparation and delivery. • Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner. • Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly. • Clear and clean tables after guests depart, preparing them for the next seating. • Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash and credit transactions securely. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including restocking supplies as needed. • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the shift. • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. • Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism, seeking assistance from management when necessary. • Stay informed about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to answer guest inquiries effectively. • Assist in opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the dining area. • Uphold the restaurant's standards for service quality, appearance, and guest experience. • Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager. • We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service. • We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to, on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required • At least two years’ experience as a Server in a contemporary dining restaurant preferred • Must have an exceptional personality and hospitality driven attitude • Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail • Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork • Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift. • Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations. • Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary. • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English. • Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes. • Additional language ability preferred. • All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific department uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you by your supervisor.
