This latest opening will be synonymous with sophistication, glamour, breathtaking artwork, and cultural trendsetting. This opening will mark the resurgence of luxury nightlife experiences in New York with dynamic food and beverage venues and programming that will make Faena the ultimate destination for the sophisticated traveler to New York.

Job Description

Living Room is a glamorous, night-only venue with outdoor space, serving bespoke and signature cocktails, crave-worthy small plates, and an eclectic wine list. Evenings come alive with nightly curated live music, artfully designed to enchant and inspire. The Living Room Server Assistant supports the service team by maintaining the flow of the Living room, anticipating guest needs, and ensuring that each table receives seamless and attentive service. This role is fast-paced, guest-focused, and team-oriented, requiring a strong sense of awareness and a polished presence. Server Assistants help uphold the Living Room standard by executing behind-the-scenes service that enhances the overall guest experience. 

This full-time position has an hourly rate of $18.00 plus tips. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Assist servers by delivering food and beverages in a timely and accurate manner 

• Refill water glasses and beverages without being prompted 

• Clear plates, glassware, and silverware efficiently and discreetly 

• Ensure tables remain clean and organized throughout service 

• Reset tables promptly following guest departure 

• Keep service stations and side work areas fully stocked and clean 

• Maintain floor cleanliness and respond immediately to any spills or hazards 

• Monitor guest cues and assist servers with any special requests 

• Communicate clearly with servers, runners, hosts, and kitchen team 

• Attend pre-shift meetings and stay informed of menu updates and specials 

• Support the opening and closing duties of the service team 

• Uphold Faena standards in appearance, demeanor, and service 

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a high-end or high-volume dining environment preferred 

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail 

• Ability to follow directions and anticipate team needs 

• Friendly and composed under pressure 

• Food Handler Certification required or obtainable prior to start 

• Bilingual in Spanish a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT 

• Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas 

• Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces 

• Remain active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout work shift 

• Medium Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly moving objects, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
