Home Health – Per Diem Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (Boynton Beach FL,)
What You'll Do
- Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments in the home.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized respiratory treatment plans.
- Administer and monitor oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, airway clearance therapy, and ventilator management.
- Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory disease management, medications, equipment use, infection prevention, and home safety.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Participate in care conferences to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
- Assist with the setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of home respiratory equipment, including oxygen concentrators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, suction machines, and ventilators.
- Support quality improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with CMS, ACHC, HIPAA, and Florida Home Health regulations.
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Current Florida Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (ACLS preferred).
- Valid Florida driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent respiratory care experience.
- One (1) year of Home Health experience.
- Experience managing home oxygen therapy and mechanical ventilators.
- Experience using electronic medical records (EMR).
- Passionate about providing exceptional patient care.
