Job Description
We’re seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. In this client-facing role, you will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, growing existing accounts, and ensuring top-notch service throughout the logistics process.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow our client base.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers
- Promote and present our 3PL services to prospective clients, clearly communicating value and ROI.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and pricing quotes.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to create win-win outcomes.
- Monitor industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activity to spot new opportunities.
- Accurately track sales activities, pipeline, and client data using CRM software.
- Ensure timely and proper service execution for freight under your management.
- Collaborate closely with internal operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Logistics, or equivalent professional experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in a 3PL or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed.
