Position Summary
We seek a highly motivated and proactive Supplier Performance Liaison/Supplier Recovery Specialist to oversee and enhance supplier performance. The ideal candidate will monitor supplier operations, implement recovery plans, manage risk, and ensure alignment with our customers' quality and delivery standards through strong on-site support and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Performance Monitoring:
Conduct regular assessments of supplier performance focusing on metrics like on-time delivery, quality standards, and production capacity.
Identify root causes of supplier underperformance and propose corrective actions to drive improvements.
Recovery Plan Implementation
Collaborate with supplier management to develop and execute comprehensive recovery plans.
Track progress and ensure alignment with the Customer's operational goals.
On-Site Presence
Maintain a presence at supplier facilities to oversee operations, provide real-time feedback, and ensure process adherence.
Act as the primary liaison between the customer and the supplier for clear, effective communication and issue resolution.
Risk Management
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential supply chain disruptions proactively.
Implement mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on the Customer's production and operations.
Reporting And Documentation
Provide regular updates to the Customer's management team, including detailed reports on supplier performance and recovery progress.
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interactions, and corrective actions.
Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate closely with the Customer's procurement, quality, and logistics teams to ensure a unified approach to supplier recovery.
Facilitate effective collaboration between the supplier and the Customer's internal teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, project management or a related field.
Strong background in supply chain management, supplier performance improvement and project management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make data-driven decisions.
Understanding of manufacturing processes such as casting and forging is a plus.
Flexibility, initiative, and problem-solving skills to adapt to evolving challenges and drive results.
Additional Information
Travel to supplier locations is required.
