Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Salesforce QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of Salesforce-based applications. This role requires strong expertise in manual and automated testing within Salesforce environments, including validation of customizations, integrations, and business workflows. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Salesforce platforms, testing strategies, and the ability to work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end testing of Salesforce applications including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or custom implementations.
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Validate Salesforce configurations such as: Workflows, Process Builder / Flow, Validation rules, Apex triggers
- Conduct manual and automated testing for functional, regression, integration, and UAT cycles.
- Work closely with developers and admins to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Validate integrations between Salesforce and external systems (APIs, middleware).
- Perform data validation and data integrity testing within Salesforce objects.
- Support release cycles, including deployment validation and post-release testing.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices.
Salesforce Testing
- Strong experience testing Salesforce applications (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud)
- Salesforce data model (objects, fields, relationships) Profiles, roles, and security model
- Apex classes & triggers Lightning components (LWC/Aura)
- Functional testing
- Regression testing
- Integration testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Test case design
- Defect tracking and reporting
- Test data management
- Selenium WebDriver
- TestNG / JUnit
- Provar (preferred for Salesforce)
- Copado QA / AccelQ (nice to have)
- API Testing REST/SOAP APIs
- Tools like Postman, SoapUI
- Ability to validate middleware integrations and data flows
- Database & Data Validation such as SQL queries, Data validation and reconciliation
- DevOps & Tools such as CI/CD pipelines, Version control (Git), Agile tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps)
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder)
- Experience in financial services or insurance domain
- Familiarity with release management tools like Copado
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 5 years of QA experience, with at least 2–3 years in Salesforce testing
