The Role
Responsibilities
- Support data migration projects from legacy reporting platforms to modern reporting and analytics systems
- Perform data reconciliation and validation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across systems
- Analyze complex datasets and provide insights to support business reporting requirements
- Develop and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using tools such as Power BI, Cognos, or similar platforms
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting needs
- Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver effective data solutions
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and operational efficiencies
- Ensure high standards of data quality and support issue investigation and resolution
- Communicate findings, risks, and progress clearly to business and technology teams
- Strong data analysis and data interpretation skills
- Experience in BI reporting and analytics, with hands-on knowledge of Power BI, Cognos, or similar tools
- Proven experience in data migration and reconciliation projects
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques
- Exposure to automation initiatives and process improvement programs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Relevant experience in Investment Banking or Financial Services
- Understanding of reporting processes, controls, and data governance in a regulated environment
- Familiarity with legacy-to-modern platform migration projects within reporting or analytics functions
