Job Description:
The Detox Technician (Tech) plays a vital role in supporting patients undergoing detoxification in a residential, house-style setting. This position focuses on providing consistent onsite care, monitoring patient well-being, and ensuring a safe, supportive, and structured environment throughout the detox process.
Responsibilities:
- Remain onsite to monitor patients participating in the detox program
- Check in regularly with patients to assess comfort, safety, and overall well-being
- Perform and document vital signs and observe withdrawal symptoms as directed Provide emotional support, reassurance, and basic care to patients
- Ensure patients' daily needs are met within the house setting
- Assist nursing staff with medication support and documentation when applicable
- Maintain accurate and timely reports for the Program Director Uphold all safety, confidentiality, and compliance standards
Qualifications:
- Certification as a CNA, EMT, or MA preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical, behavioral health, or addiction treatment setting preferred
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional in high-stress situations
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently while onsite
Supervision:
- Reports directly to the Program Director
