Construction Support Specialist (Temp)

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing administrative & payroll support for the Construction team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Construction payroll entry, payroll review, and payroll corrections
• Distribute weekly payroll checks
• Update weekly Manpower Labor Tracking Reports
• Track union new hire performance evaluations and scan updated evaluations into union employee personnel file
• File union Personnel Documents using Document Imaging
• Process new hire and separation paperwork for all union employees
• Track invoices for Construction Department rental equipment
• Manage ordering of office supplies & maintain office supply cabinet
• Run reports and distribute reports as needed by the Construction team
• Assemble union new hire packets
• Distribute Safety Buck orders
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATIN AND EXPERIENCE:

• Keyboard - 50 wpm with minimal mistakes
• Well organized and able to organize information into easy to reference systems
• Ability to multitask
• Team player

• Ability to handle pressure and fast pace
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience in the contracting or construction fields preferred
• Experienced in customer service
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Applications, PDF Writer

• The employee may regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

• The employee is occasionally required to reach above shoulder height to access storage cabinets and shelves.

HOURS:

Monday through Friday beginning between 6:00 am and 7:00 am and ending between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm, with one hour for lunch. Eight hours per day is required, and occasional overtime may be necessary due to business needs.

TRAVEL:

O – 5% of the time to and from the assigned office location to regional branch offices and/or to project/customer site(s).
