BIM Modeler, Construction Operations

General Job Description: 

The Piping Detailer reports to the Piping Detailer Manager. Assist with 2D CAD tasks- Annotation, linetypes, plotting tasks, layer editing, and others. The Piping Detailer will assist with 3D CAD tasks which includes editing the 3D elevations of systems, XREFs of 3D models, maintenance of 3D models, editing intelligent text in our 3D models.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Interface

• Assist with 2D CAD tasks- Annotation, linetypes, plotting tasks, layer editing, and others.
• Assist with 3D CAD tasks- editing the 3D elevations of systems, XREFs of 3D models, maintenance of 3D models, editing intelligent text in our 3D models.
• Posting models onto client's FTP sites, maintaining logs, screenshots for RFIs, etc.
• Assist with fabrication as instructed by Lead Mechanical Piping Detailer
• Coordinate revisions and changes with piping field foreman
• Help with pipe routing

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with the different groups to help create Process Documents, Written Standards, and other documents and spreadsheets.
• Assist with supports, anchors and seismic details.
• Assist the Piping group with any other written task as needed.

Software Requirements

• AutoCAD proficiency
• PDF Markup Programs (Adobe, Bluebeam, etc.)
• Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Google Drive, Google Docs, Gmail
• Revit knowledge is a plus

Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related
• experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-2 years CAD, design, drafting, engineering or construction experience.
• Familiarity with HVAC mechanical piping systems (Heating and Cooling piping)
• Familiar with different piping material (Welded, Grooved, Copper and Press-on)
• Can read P&ID drawings
• Autodesk Certification is a plus but not required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals
• Ability to take on additional responsibilities as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance
• Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as w6ll as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others

Hours:

This is a non-exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor, with a minimum thirty-minute and maximum one-hour break for lunch, and two rest breaks. Occasional overtime and work on weekends may be necessary per business needs.

Travel:

0 -5% of the time to and from the primary office to the DMV and other ACCO offices or facilities.

Competetive Wages:

$49.09  to $63.37 per hour. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
