Lead Cloud Systems Engineer (2026-0136)

We are actively hiring a Cloud Systems Engineer with a TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to support a program in Chantilly, VA. In this role you will design and deploy AWS based cloud infrastructure globally.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assist in the design, implementation, and integration of systems under the guidance of senior engineers
• Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to improve system performance and reliability
• Perform system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure system specifications are met
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals
• Conduct regular system audits and generate reports to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members
• Ensure systems are designed and maintained following best practices and regulatory requirements
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system capabilities and efficiency
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to current systems
  
  

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; 4 years of additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
• 7-14 years of experience in systems engineering or a related role
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and methodologies
• Experience with system modeling, simulation, and analysis tools
• Experience with AWS and Terraform for cloud solutions
• Experience with Java
• Experience integrating external hardware data into internal workflows using MongoDB
• Experience integrating external database data into internal workflows using MongoDB
• 30-40% international travel required
• Must possess an active passport or be able to obtain one immediately upon hire

• Proficiency in various programming and scripting languages is a plus
