Role: Functional Workday HRIS Expert

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Workday Expert to support the implementation and ongoing operations of a new Workday HRIS solution for client. This role will play a critical part in configuring, optimizing, and supporting Workday functionality across HR business processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the functional implementation of the new Workday HRIS solution
Collaborate with HR, IT, and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into Workday configurations
Configure and maintain Workday modules, business processes, security roles, and reporting
Provide expertise in Workday best practices and recommend process improvements
Support testing activities including unit testing, UAT, and defect resolution
Assist with data validation, integrations, and system deployment activities
Deliver ongoing operational support and troubleshooting after implementation
Create documentation, training materials, and knowledge transfer resources for end users
Partner with stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and continuous optimization of Workday functionality
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Functional Workday Consultant, Workday HRIS Analyst, or similar role
Strong knowledge of Workday HCM and HR business processes
Experience supporting full-cycle Workday implementation projects

Role: Project Manager-Workday
Location: Houston, TX- 4days onsite
Type of position: Contract
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with Workday expertise to lead and manage key initiatives as part of an ongoing Workday implementation program. The role will focus on coordinating cross-functional teams supporting data migration, integrations, and overall program execution.
This is a Houston-based role with onsite expectation (4 days/week – Monday through Thursday, Friday optional).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Workday implementation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
- Manage project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate across Data Engineering, Integration, and Functional teams supporting:
- Data migration from legacy systems (e.g., UKG) to Workday
- ETL/data flows from Workday to downstream systems
- Integration of Workday with enterprise platforms
- Drive execution of project milestones and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Facilitate communication between client stakeholders, delivery teams, and vendors.
- Track and report project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to governance, PMO standards, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience in IT Project Management.
- Proven experience managing Workday implementation or transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of:
- Workday modules and ecosystem
- Data migration and integration frameworks
- Experience managing cross-functional teams (Data, Integration, Functional).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Hybrid delivery models.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Workday data migration from systems like UKG
- Familiarity with cloud-based integrations (AWS ecosystem preferred)
- PMP or equivalent certification.
