Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that match their style and needs
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits of merchandise
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, offering styling advice, and ensuring satisfaction
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell additional items by suggesting complementary products to enhance the customer’s purchase experience
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to maximize sales potential
- Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves, organizing stockroom items, and conducting regular stock checks
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products or store services while practicing excellent phone etiquette
- Assist with product demos and educate customers on new arrivals or promotions to boost sales opportunities
- Support supervisory staff with training new team members and supervising daily store operations when needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales, preferably within a boutique or fashion environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting is highly desirable
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales transactions and stock counts
- Excellent phone etiquette with clear, professional communication skills
- Professional dress and appearance
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to create appealing displays that attract customers
- Experience with upselling strategies, and customer service excellence
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required in a retail environment.
