Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting patients (ambulatory or in a wheelchair) safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle pushing a wheelchair and operate different types of vehicles, including 14 passenger bus and minivans.
Duties
- Safely operate all vehicles, including bus and minivans, to transport people to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Load and unload people using a manual lift or powered lift and ensure that all items are secured for transport.
- Follow designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Assist people in and out as needed.
- Maintain accurate time logs and documentation of routes taken.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a chairvan driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Physical capability to perform loading and unloading tasks as needed.
- Familiarity with route driving and local geography is advantageous.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively.
