Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Residential Remodeling assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, involves assisting on a two-man crew remodeling bathrooms in private homes. Your expertise will help transform homes into safe, comfortable spaces for clients of all ages and abilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects with a dedicated team committed to excellence. A company truck leaves from our warehouse in Scott every morning at 7:30am and returns by 5:30pm four days a week, Monday through Thursday.
Duties
- Assist the main carpenter in construction projects, including but not limited to demolition, framing, drywall installation, painting, flooring, and fixture installation.
- Load and unload construction materials and tools at the job site.
- Help measure and cut materials accurately, minimizing waste and ensuring a high-quality finished product.
- Install doors, cabinets, flooring, tile, and other finishing elements with precision.
- Coordinate with team members and project managers to meet deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Learn and develop construction skills, working towards the goal of becoming a skilled carpenter.
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems relevant to remodeling projects.
- Familiarity with construction inspection procedures and quality control processes.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and other equipment safely to complete various construction activities.
- Experience with caulking, flooring installation (including tile laying), cabinet installation, door hanging, painting techniques, concrete forming and finishing.
