Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Elicit, document, analyze, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements from internal stakeholders
- Translate business needs into system specifications, workflows, and user stories for internal IT teams and external vendors
- Evaluate current-state processes and recommend future-state improvements using workflow analysis and data-driven insights
- Support system implementations, upgrades, and integrations across operational and administrative platforms
- Serve as liaison between business units, IT, and vendors to ensure solutions meet organizational and regulatory requirements
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and validation
- Develop and maintain documentation including business requirements, process maps, SOPs, and training materials
- Monitor system performance and assist in issue triage, prioritization, and escalation
- Ensure system workflows align with HIPAA, data privacy, and information security standards
- Provide post-implementation support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2–5 years of experience in business analysis, systems support, operations, or related field
- Demonstrated ability to document requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with business systems documentation tools
- Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or regulated environments
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare data privacy standards
- Experience supporting system implementations or integrations
- Knowledge of ticketing systems, project management tools, or workflow software
- Must reside and work within the Commonwealth of Virginia at the time of hire and throughout employment
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
