Role: Travel RN specializing in Med Surg / Telemetry, responsible for providing patient care in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities: Managing diverse patient diagnoses such as stroke, respiratory illnesses, renal failure, and wounds; interpreting cardiac rhythms; administering non-titrating cardiac drips; wound care; drain/tube management; PIV starts; central line management; supporting staff with ADLs and mobility; and utilizing hospital technology including EMR, monitors, and IV pumps.
Key Duties: Floats within region as needed; participate in shift rotations, including weekends and holidays; assist with admissions/discharges; ensure patient safety and compliance with certifications.
Qualifications & Skills: RN license with BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; at least 18 months Med/Surg/Telemetry experience; proficiency in cardiac monitoring, wound care, and IV management; ability to work in a patient-centered, team-oriented environment.
Additional Details: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week; working in a Level 3 Trauma hospital with 241 beds; support from multidisciplinary teams including RT, hospitalists, and intensivists; and ability to float across multiple facilities within the region.
