- managing communication programs and counseling patients, families, and caregivers
- developing and training in augmentative communication systems
- contributing to departmental record-keeping and discharge planning
- conducting staff in-service programs
- master's or doctoral degree
- Certificate of Clinical Competence
- Alabama State License
- preferably clinical fellowship completion or supervision
- knowledge of medical terminology and experience with video fluoroscopic evaluations is advantageous
- strong communication and hearing skills
- desire to work with individuals with diverse physical, mental, and developmental conditions
- ability to work with all ages from neonates to geriatrics
- participation in treatment under physician prescriptions
