Role Description
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Team Leader / Administrative Assistant to support our in-person day program for children and adults with autism and other neurodiverse needs. This role combines direct support with administrative responsibilities and is ideal for someone who is organized, communicative, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. We’re looking for someone who is patient, proactive, and genuinely cares about supporting individuals with special needs.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (FTE 30 hours/week)
- Location: In-person
- Compensation: Approximately $20-25/hour ($31,200 to $39,000 annually), based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Lead participants between pre-planned daily activities and support smooth transitions
- Provide direct support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Assist with implementation of structured activities
- Complete documentation and service notes using web-based systems
- Support administrative tasks, including data entry and organization
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a consistent and supportive environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable supporting individuals with varying needs, including occasional behavioral challenges
- Proficient with technology (e.g., Excel, Adobe, web-based systems)
- Organized, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with individuals with autism or neurodiverse populations
Preferred (but not required)
- Background in psychology, special education, social work, or related fields
- Familiarity with AAC/AT or alternative communication methods (sign language is a plus)
- Previous leadership or team coordination experience
- Driver's license, auto insurance, and willing to drive participants to community outings
- CPR/First Aid Training
Salary : $31,200 - $39,000
