Purposes of the position:
We are seeking a motivated Commercial Analyst / Intern to support our Nonferrous Commercial team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in commodities, finance, and the agile supply chains that support physical trading and distribution. The position offers hands-on exposure to the commercial side of supply chain operations, particularly in the metals and mining sector, and the opportunity to see how deals progress from pricing through execution.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Support & Quoting:
Prepare competitive pricing analysis to support commercial proposals and quotations for metals and mining clients. Maintain and update rate sheets, cost models, and pricing templates.
Stock Reporting: Manage and compile reports on stock levels, ensuring accurate and timely information is available for decision making.
Market Research: Conduct research on global commodities markets, including supply and demand dynamics, geopolitical factors, and economic indicators.
Project Support: Assist in various projects related to commodities trading and logistics, offering support where needed to ensure successful outcomes.
Qualifications
Recent degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Shipping, or a related field.
A keen interest in the logistics and commodities sector, with a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with data.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
Right to Work/Permit to work in United States.
