What You’ll Do
As a key member of our energetic and progressive Development team, this position will work closely with the Events and Advancement Director of the Foundation and play an essential role in supporting fundraising efforts across the Hudson Valley and NYC.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Supporting a capital campaign, including special events, donor relations, fund development, and project coordination
- Serving as the primary point person for maintaining donor and prospect records in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- Creating donor lists, running gift queries, preparing reports, and executing spreadsheets and mail merges
- Responding promptly and professionally to donor phone calls and email inquiries
- Preparing donor correspondence and filing donation-related paperwork in electronic systems
- Scheduling meetings, meal functions, and other logistics as assigned
- Maintaining the highest level of confidentiality regarding donor information and reports
- Assisting at special events—including occasional evenings and weekends—and helping oversee volunteers and event logistics
- With direction, acting as a spokesperson for organizational services and promotions
- Committing to all workplace, food, and safety policies and reporting any safety concerns immediately
- Pitching in on other projects as assigned—no two days are exactly the same!
We’re seeking someone who is detail-oriented, flexible, and excited to grow within the nonprofit fundraising field.
Qualifications Include
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (experience may substitute, including higher-education-based activities)
- At least two years of administrative experience, preferably in a Development or Fundraising office
- Experience managing projects or events is a plus
- Familiarity with fundraising and project management databases such as Monday.com; Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
