Position Summary: The EMT performs primary clinical support to the Walk In Provider
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Assists with conducting occupational health physicals
- Triage and room patients
- Transport patients to and from Xray
- Perform blood draws
- Obtain vitals as needed
- Apply DME to patients
- Collection of urine samples for drug testing
- BAT testing
- Processing of laboratory samples for send out
- Participate in departmental/organization Performance Improvement activities as requested.
- Insure timely and accurate communication of patient information with health care team members as may be required for prompt and efficient patient care
- Complete all necessary written documentation
- Complete all necessary computer documentation in a timely manner
- Review patient charts for accuracy in filing
- Comply with DOT standards
- Reports equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel
- Assures safe and clean environment
- Attendance: works as scheduled and is compliant with Attendance and Tardiness Policy
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an EMT program
- Must pass EMS National Registry within 12 months of hire
- Must possess a valid NH State License for EMT
- BCLS required or obtained within 30 days of hire
