We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatch Associate to join our Shipping & Receiving team. Job Responsibilities
- Manage and control inventory within the shipping and receiving department, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Dispatch materials, equipment, and supplies to labs and other internal users, maintaining proper tracking and documentation.
- Enter daily inventory and dispatch data into internal systems, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurate.
- Assist with regular inventory counts, audits, and reporting to support operational needs.
- Coordinate with team members and other departments to prioritize and schedule dispatch requests.
- Identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in inventory management and dispatch operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shipping and receiving area.
- Provide excellent internal customer service, acting as a personable and reliable point of contact for inventory and dispatch inquiries.
- Proficiency in Excel is required; experience with Fishbowl or similar inventory management systems is a plus.
- Previous experience in inventory control, logistics, or dispatching is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes.
- Personable, team-oriented, and capable of effective communication across departments.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently when necessary.
