• Coordinate and manage patient referrals to specialists, laboratories, imaging centers, and other healthcare providers
• Verify patient insurance information and ensure referrals comply with insurance requirements and policies
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and external facilities to facilitate timely appointments and follow-ups
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date referral records in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Address and resolve any issues or delays related to referrals, escalating concerns as necessary
• Educate patients about referral procedures, appointment scheduling, and necessary documentation
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare-related certifications are a plus
• Proven experience in patient coordination, referral management, or healthcare administration
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, referral processes, and healthcare regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
