Cook 2 is an experienced cook with proficiency in multiple kitchen stations. This person can be relied upon to work independently, and contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen at The Palm Bar.
Responsibilities
- Work across multiple stations, including grill, sauté, and fry, ensuring the preparation of high-quality dishes.
- Assist Cook 1 with expediting and coordinating kitchen orders during busy periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen stations and work areas.
- Assist in training Cook 3 and ensure they are developing necessary kitchen skills.
- Support inventory management, ensuring that ingredients are stocked and ready for use.
- Follow food safety standards and best practices for handling food.
- Assist in maintaining a positive, productive kitchen environment.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, working multiple stations.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
- Ability to work in a team and take direction from Cook 1 and management.
- Attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.
- Culinary degree or relevant experience preferred.
