Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including but not limited to personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Implement person centered service plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Physically assist clients with maintaining their homes and personal property so that they experience a clean, safe, and healthy environment
- Provide varying levels of personal care for adults with developmental disabilities
- Adhere to state and agency administrative and personnel policies while supporting the vision, goals and values of Access Living, Inc.
- Maintain required training and certifications and annual continuing education credits
- Responsible for accurate, routine documentation of client care & procedures
- Some clients require physical support with transferring.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Requires general computer literacy with the ability to use internet-based tools with confidence for daily tasks and communication.
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Proficient in internet browsers, and general computer navigation.
- Ability to clearly communicate and read, write, and understand English
- Able to attend required training (training hours are paid)
- Ability to pass and maintain an acceptable background check
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Shift availability: Client needs determine work schedules. This position requires that team members be available to work shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM, including weekends. Shift assignments vary within this timeframe as client needs change. This availability is a condition of employment.

- This position requires basic computer skill proficiency. Please describe your proficiency in the following areas: Operating a computer, File Management, Typing/keyboard use, using a web browser, search skills.
- Many team members use their personal vehicles to support clients with transportation (e.g. to appointments, grocery shopping, community activities, events and so forth). Access Living reimburses mileage for this support. While not required, this contribution is HIGHLY VALUED and currently a significant need. - Access Living’s client needs necessitate staffing coverage across all seven days of the week between 8am and 10pm. This does not indicate a seven-day work schedule; instead, employees are assigned shifts based on client-driven needs within this timeframe.
